It's spring again here in NY, and Alli's got the fever to create new things. So, she's consulting for a number of media companies large and small on their broadband and interactive TV (ITV) initiatives. If you'd like to put her 12 years of interactive content development and programming experience to work on a project for you or your company, email her at alli@allijoseph.com.

Alli has been appointed the new ex-officio representative for NAJA (Native American Journalists Assn) to the RTNDA (Radio & Television News Directors Association), which puts her in a non-voting role on the board of RTNDA – and in an interesting position for the future as regards news, the Networks, and diversity reporting. In her capacity as ex-officio, she'll be the liaison to RTNDA for NAJA over the next year. Her links present and past to NBCU, CBS, CNN/Turner, Cablevision, etc., will be relevant here, and Alli feels the appointment presents great opportunities for diversity efforts in news media. She'll focus her efforts on increasing the presence of young Native American broadcasters in Network/Cable news. Now she *really* feels like a grown-up, and is of course extremely honored by the selection, once again.

Alli has been awarded a McCormick Tribune Foundation Fellowship for2007. Administered by Northwestern University's Media Management Center, the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) and the NAMME(National Association of Minority Media Executives), the Fellowship selects just eight media executives a year who are considered promising minority news media leaders focused on increasing diversity in newsrooms across America. Beginning in July 2007 at Northwestern University, as part of the small McCormick Tribune Fellow "braintrust" (the McCormick Tribune Foundation's words, not Alli's), Alli will join with her fellow Fellows to write a thesis on the state of diversity in news media in summer 2007. This will be presented to the NAB at a conference in October. Alli is honored by the selection, and feels like a real grown-up.
