
Alli Joseph is an on-camera host, journalist/producer, family historian and published author. She frequently lectures and leads seminars on branding, oral history, and entrepreneurship. Alli is currently a Contributing Editor and on-camera host for Salon.com.
Alli developed her broadcast, journalism and marketing skills over many years' time working on-air, online, and in print for large media companies like Scripps (Food Network), Grey Worldwide, Margeotes, Fertitta & Partners, News Corporation, Viacom (VH1 and CBS News), Cablevision, WB, Hotjobs.com/Yahoo, AOL, Time Inc., and Hachette Filipacchi Media. As well, her book, "The Shaolin Way: Ten Modern Secrets of Survival from a Shaolin Grandmaster", was published by Harper Collins.
Alli is a member of the Shinnecock Indian Nation. Every year, she dances in traditional regalia at her tribe's Shinnecock Pow Wow in Southampton, NY. Alli also programmed a Native American section at the Hamptons International Film Festival, sat on the board of the RTDNA (Radio and Television Digital News Association) as ex-officio representative for the Native American Journalists Association, and considers her advocacy work with young Native American journalism students among the most important things she does.
A fitness enthusiast, Alli is a MadDogg Spinning instructor, has created a community indoor cycling programs that were a model for municipalities to bring affordable spinning classes to their communities, and teaches classes at high-end international resorts when traveling for leisure.
Alli was also a McCormick Tribune Foundation Fellow, completing the Executive Media Management program at the Northwestern University/Kellogg School of Management in association with the Medill School of Journalism.
